A native of Compton, California, Pastor Jody Moore grew up in the United Methodist Church. Certain of his calling as a young boy to preach the Gospel, he delivered his first sermon at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Compton at eighteen years of age.
Pastor Moore's ministry was launched at Alhambra First United Methodist Church where he served as youth pastor and ministered across cultural and racial lines. His first "flock" was a group of Chinese American youths, members of which he continues to mentor and counsel. Pastor Moore has also preached at various Korean churches across the country and has visited many ministries abroad.
In September of 1999 Pastor Moore married Keniya Ulmer, the youngest daughter of Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church. They have four children: Marcquel, Kamryn, Raegan, and Bailee. Pastor Moore served as Executive Pastoral Assistant at Faithful Central Bible Church for two years before answering the call of Senior Pastor at Praise Tabernacle Bible Church. In December of 2003 he received a Master's Degree from Talbot School of Theology.
